A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Biography
Hi. I'm a Sydney-born photographer. After travelling a lot, living in Adelaide for many years and working in Germany for 3 years teaching English, I'm now living on the far south coast of NSW in the beautiful Bega Valley.
I'm known for portraiture, event, photojournalistic and community based photography. I've worked across Australia, held solo exhibitions, collaborated on joint projects, and contributed to many publications and websites.
I studied graphic design including photography after school and worked in the commercial art industry for a couple of years. That industry wasn't really for me at that time. I travelled extensively for over a year, and returning to Sydney I volunteered and worked with homeless folks. This led to retraining in Community Development in Adelaide and later, a Masters Degree in International Social Development in Sydney. I've been employed now for many years in the human services, working with some of Australia's most marginalised communities.
I returned to my passion of photography over 10 years ago and now happily work as a freelance photographer, as well as (currently) in child protection services.
ABOUT MY PROCESS
My Work
I love to strive to create images of integrity that are clear and uncompromising.
I'm motivated by building and celebrating community, and contributing to create better places where we all belong and thrive.
I hope my photography reflects my passions, my life experiences, my work in the human services and my adventuring spirit. I try bring as many of these elements as I can to my photographic work and projects.
